[[Bunch of Hormone Enraged Kids]]

I'm not going to name names, but I think most of you know who they are. Anyway, I have made a note that I will attend future class dinners, just to see the wierdness that happens. God, 1 night and there's a ton of political junk that I missed.

New game for you all to try, click HERE to brush up on your karaoke skills for next weeks partyworld gathering. If it happens.

Got lots of work to do so i"m gonna, try and finish it. yup. Hardworking Graeme and his pile of work. Yes, I am buried in paperwork, so to speak. Until my next post, Ciao.

[[First day of the second week.]]

And it's wierd. I'll skip all the boring bits first and write them later. K starting with Alex Lum's lum-borghini. yup. You wouldn't have believed it too unless you were in that lecture hall. He really is that lame. The second year students calles him Alex lame, and it really is very accurate.

Next was Ken's ultra gay lecture on stats. And the funniest thing happened. The class reps were supposed to hand in the class list, but some of the were a little late. So he told them, and I quote "If you all don't give them back I'll bring you down and SPANK you". Woah. And to the marists from my clique, NO it is not another gay fantasy that you all constantly insist happens. And apparently there are people that also know the term "you like right......". Which is actually pretty interesting counting the fact the only people I know who say that are my marist clique. lol.

That's pretty much the highlights of today. And on to the boring, or to put it nicely, the less interesting parts of the day.

After Alex's class, deyun( adam chen ), Xiang feng ( gamer ) and I went to SPGG to play pool. It costs slightly more than moberly but there are more tables and alot less people ( except during lunch ). We played for 2 hours, which exceeded the 1 hour given to us. Anyways we all agreed to pay off the extra cost, but the lady at the reception was really obnoxious and pissed us off, somewhat. So we headed back to foodcourt 6, and along the way we had a challenge to see who could do more pull-ups. I did 8 ( cheering in the background), XF did 3 and DY didn't want to do any.

Guess that's pretty much it for today. Gonna eat dinner so yeah, whatever.

[[First week of Poly.]]

I have some free time now, since I'd already finished my homework. Yes. I have already finished it. And it's only 2.45! Yea I might as well talk about this week's past events.

Starting from Yesterday, which, from my previous post, I seemed pretty pissed at myself for losing my file, but rest assured I did find it, with help from the cleaning lady. Thanks for opening the door. haha.

First lesson of the day was EC. Effective communication. Which I felt was just an upgrade of secondary school's english lesson. Our teacher, Mrs Diana, I can't remember her surname.. was really articulate, and I guess her lessons should be less boring because she speaks properly, unlike those teachers that drone on monotonously till you fall asleep. I was grouped with Jing Han ( balls ) for those who still don't know his real name, and Elaine :). We spent about an hour on CNA/BBC/CNN looking for news articles to research on for our presentation, before going for an hour break .

Strangest thing, we had this project time, which according to Louis, my FOP facil, was just a time slot for us to do any outstanding projects, if we wanted to. But since there were no projects to be done, we wasted an hour and our lunch in that room. I played left4dead again. Quite sian of it, but I'm not really bothered.

The rest of the day got pretty boring cos there were just lectures and tutorials. My marketing tutor was quite interesting. He's a New Zealander, and sadly that brings back stupid memories of Thodey, my sec school english teacher. Sian.

By the time I ended class it was already 6pm. So I met the guys at moberly, and we played pool until 6.30 before leaving for vivo for dinner. We walked around for a very long time there because of the sheer amount of people queing at the restaurants, and we had no place to eat. Eventually, we settled for Carl's Jr. Yup. Travelled all the way to vivo to eat fast food. Anyway we all split after dinner cos Chris and Perry wanted to watch a movie and everyone else didn't. And Wilson was extremely shagged so he left with Darren and Dara. Yang and I went to best while waiting for my dad to come pick us up. Played Forza2 on their display 360 with steering wheel. Quite fun cos it has force feedback which Yang's one doesn't. This strange kid then came to spectate, but gave us alot of retarded nonsensical info about ferrari. Which we all knew wasn't true. But I just humored him. haha, fucker.

Next Friday's labour day so I have no school. But it's more bad news cos now I have to go to school at 8am on Thursday.....

And to Perry, if you visit this blog, take this thought with you.

[[My File...]]

I'll just get straight to the point here...but I should say that I'm not this careless all the time. Or am I? Ah who really cares. It's really effed up.

I left my file in school.. and yes, I know that this might turn out to be one of those really redundant, like "Oh I don't need to know about this" kind of posts, but I can assure you I appreciate the seriousness of my situation. To quote from "Lord of War".

It's really down to the principles here..and what's worse is that school just started, and already I'm careless enough to leave stuff in random classrooms. F*ck. It's so f'ed up I hate myself. God..

I'll definitely not sleep well tonight, and I need to think of a way to get it back. I'm not really clear on the rules of SP, so I'm leaving it up to you, the reader. If u have any suggestions just write on my tagboard. Thanks in advance to one of you.

[[Ice Skating Pics.]]

As I had already mentioned in my earlier post, I went Ice skating yesterday and had some fun. yes, some. Not alot, cos there was not much going on anyway. Anywho, here are a couple of pics from our version of "swan lake on ice". enjoy....

Justin attempting some "highly complicated" move, which did not end very well..

After 2+ hours of skating we were all wasted. Especially Jing Han who had melted ice ( or water ) on his ass.

It got slightly gay so I tried to get out of the shot..

Yea I bet you're wondering why there are so few photos, I guess unlike people like Yang or JQ, us normal folks with handphone cams aren't as inclined to take photos. So that could mean less photos on my blog, but ya'know......screw it!

[[School's Started!]]

I know I'm late on this post, but frankly I'm not really bothered cos I have quite alot of stuff to do.

K, starting with Monday. Attended my first lecture which was on econs. Taught by Alex Lum ( those of you in BA should know him too ). His teaching style is quite standard, but his jokes are really, really cold. As in they're so cold even if your balls fell off because of the coldness, you'd still be damn far away from the cold jokes. Really.

Then was Stats. Another "peculiar" character for a lecturer you would say. I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that he's more on the homo side ( no, not jia liang ). Like the way he bites and stretches out the "S" sound and the wrist flick thing.. ughh...truly strange. Anyway we had to purchase this huge textbook, which I can only guess weighs as much as my laptop. Thank god I only have to bring it once a week.

And on to today. I had this class called ONOW ( one nation one world ), the name already sounds like propaganda. And from what I gathered it sounds like doing CIP for school. haha. It was a tutorial and our teacher kept going on and on about how nice it was to community work and all that. It's in times like this that you can't help but let your mind wander off...only to return just in time for dismissal.

We had actually planned a class outing today, an ice-skating session at Kallang Leisure Park, which ended in only 5 people turning up for it. All the Pang-seh-ers in my class. So of course you can guess that it wasn't really as fun because there weren't many ice virgins to help out ( or laugh at ) haha. and maybe from now on Tuesdays will become our " class outing" day or something. If people turn up at all..

Good news..I don't have to bring my laptop on Tuesdays anymore!!!!!

[[Movie Review]]

I'm thinking of doing this small bit about movie reviews on the blog, and recommending them to you, the reader on whether their worth watching..

I'll start with the latest one that I've watched. ( in fact i just fi
nished watching it a few minutes ago )

Frost/ Nixon: A very intriguing storyline, basically it's about one of the true life events involving David Frost ( michael sheen ) and President Richard Nixon ( Frank Langella ). Their lives take a very interesting turn when Frost approaches Nixon for an interview ( agenda was on the Watergate cover up ). The whole show pretty much revolves around the story of how Frost interviews Nixon, and the extreme intellectual battle that wages over their 4 day interview period. Along the way, you'd start to feel a deep understanding for the characters, and even though there is so much tension in the air, there's always that little hint of chemistry between the two that keeps you guessing what's going to happen next. Yes, it IS quite intense ( alhough there are no action scenes whatsoever ) that you can physically feel the pressure build in both sides.
I would personally recommend this film to anyone who'd like to sit through 2 hours of intense mind games and tests of intelligence.

This one was actually recommended to me by JQ.
Lord of War: This film had a very straightforward concept right from the beginning. It had alot to do with illegal gun trafficking, war-torn Africa, The Cold War and a ton of decption. Nicholas Cage plays an illegal arms dealer, who started selling weapons just before the height of the cold war. He also narrates as you go along. The arms trade was, of course, booming, and he being an oppotunistic person, hops on for the ride. It leads him to do deals with some of the most powerful people in the world, earning him a fortune. Whilst all is not fun and games, his nemesis, a law-abiding FBI agent, Jack Valentine ( Ethan Hawke ) is always hot on his tail, ready to pounce on any chance he got. Yuri Orlov ( Nocholas Cage )'s brother, Vitaly ( Jared Leto ) is his "accomplice", tagging along on his business trips until he gets thrown into a rehab centre. The ending's quite a thrill ride, with a twist at the end. This one really leaves you hanging on to your seats, but it's a really really well thought out movie. It's rated M18 here so it contains a ton of stuff like vulgarities and semi-nude scenes. So kids be warned.
I'd recommend you guys to go check it out cos it's one that you don't want to miss.

[[SP Flag Day '09]]

I know I was late in posting this, cos I was way too tired to do anything, let alone blog. So I'll do it now..

Flag Day started off at SPCC ( convention centre ). only the first class of every course was supposed to turn up. Cue my class. We had to meet at 7, which was really, really early compared to the other days. The other lucky people only needed to go to their specific locations to meet up.

Our day started off in the wrong direction from the start. We were to go to Buona Vista ( which is just 1 mrt stop away from SP ) and ask for donations there. Instead we walked to Holland Village and decided to have breakfast. Then the entire class split. The guys ( myself included ) took a cab down to harbourfront, to see if we could get any money there ( we actually wanted to catch a movie, but all the timings were too late ). The girls stayed with the facils and collected money from Holland V. Then the more "enthu" guys went to tour Ghim Moh and get money there. And lastly the most enthu people, the China Chinese went somewhere else to get donations. That's pretty much how it stood until about 1.30, when we all met up again..

We just slacked around in class until 3, then we opened our cans to count the cash. I got 8 bucks, seeing that I didn't even try to get an money whatsoever.. and my class's highest was 81 dollars. But that still paled in comparison to Perry's class highest, which was a crazy $351. Ho-ly Shit.

Anyway, a lecturer came in slightly later and told us that she was our personal tutor, and POA lecturer. My first impressions were that she was very warm, like motherly, and also reminded me of my sec 1 literature teacher. haha.

Then we took some class photos, they're below..

The foot is KC's, one of my class facils..

A better group shot.

After that was a party planned at the SP concourse. I didn't go, cos the facils said that they went last year, and the queue was so long that they practically stood at the same spot for half and hour. So I just went home with my class mates. Saw JQ, Ryan, Ah meng, Zheng Jie, Jackboon on the way out of SP. They were there for the food. lol what a waste of time.

My class's flag day is going to be held at Buona Vista. So all you people who stay in buona Vista watch out, for we are coming out in force, to take your cash!

[["So you all can calculate how much you want to ponn"]]

Believe it or not, this sentence actually came from the principal of the School of Business. He was giving a speech this morning in front of the entire SB ( school of business, i'm too lazy to type out the whole name ), about how fun poly life is, and the basic rules of the school.

It was about half an hour long, followed by the Director's speech and the chairman of the FOP's speech. It was pretty amazing how the principal talked for half an hour without the use of a script. And the chairman was very good at public speaking, I guess it's one of the modules covered in SB.

Then it was lunch time. At 10am. We just ate for the sake of eating. I know I did.

The facils had planned some station games for us, and we just walked around the entire campus, from station to station, until it was time to gather back at the convention centre. I'm really wasted now so i'll keep it short for today.

Tomorrow we're just going back to school to collect our cans for Flag day and have a talk or something. So it's gonna be boring. And I can't be bothered to write about boring stuff.

[[Freshman Orientation Day 1]]

To those who said before that Poly was not the choice for them, reconsider it.

I had a really great time today at SP, except maybe in the morning...

I arrived early, about 45 mins early, and of course was the first to arrive. I pretty much sat alone with the main facil until all the rest arrived. Made quite a few new friends, and my class's facil was really upbeat and fun to be around. Although he kept saying that we should choose a slack chairman so we can ponn alot. lol.

The first part of the day was taken up by some lecture on how to use our SPICE accounts and mySAS. Which I already knew.. so I was bordering on falling asleep. And the lecture hall was freakishly cold, which was the only thing keeping me awake. The OHP also gave me some sort of heat..

It ended at about 12pm and then we headed for lunch. Our class has about 20 people, so finding a table to sit all of us was quite a challenge. So we all split up to our small groups and headed off to eat lunch.

Then came the fun bit. Instead of playing the usual "lame" ice-breaking games, our facil decided to abolish it and play this game where someone sits in the middle of a circle and everyone says their first impressions. It might not sound like fun, but you had to be there, cos it really was hilarious.

By then it was already 3, so we just went home. yup. totally fun day....

[[Last Day of Holiday. Somewhat]]

As the title says, today is the last day of my holidays, although tomorrow is just the FO ( freshman orientation ) for SP. And with that in view, I've begun to reflect on what i've set out to do before the holidays and what i've actually accomplished.

So here's the checklist:

Earn Money - Not done
Participate in more sports - cycling and bball and badminton and golf. so its done
Read a book - Done. One in progress
Go karting - Not Done
Kayaking - Not Done
Working - Not Done
Slacking - Done
Play Guitar - Not Done
LAN Party - Done
Milk Party - Done

That's most of the stuff I could remember for the holidays. You could say that it wasn't very fruitful, but I felt that it was quite an experience, but not one i would want any time soon.

And about the FO tomorrow, I hope that I can get along well with my new classmates, as none of my friends are in the same class as me. Also I heard from Weiqi that this year's intake for business school has a ratio of guys to girls somewhere in the 1:1 range, which of course is good news for us guys. haha.

So here's one for the new school year, to new friends and new relationships. cheers.

[[Golf and all who don't play it.]]

While i wait for my family guy episode to load, I'll do a quick summary of the days event.

I woke up at 8.30, or should i say crawled out of bed, to meet JQ and Yang at toa payoh mrt cos today was the day that we were gonna play golf. According to JQ, the range was at toa payoh, and its actually quite clean and new, compared to the one that i usually go to.

Nick Goh also tagged along and I guess that might have helped Yang cos there was someone more noob tha him at golf. Mind you, this was the first time both of them had ever played golf, so it was pretty much up to JQ and myself to teach them. Yang was a fast learner, maybe its because of the archery he used to take part in.

We bought 240 balls and played for about one and a half hours before we all got wasted. Pics are available on Yang's blog. So go there to see all the flexi shafts and ball hitting fun.

Lunch was at Toa payoh, we just ate at the foodcourt upstairs. I had Laksa, which was way too watery.

Soon after we all split and went home. For some reason, my pants kept wanting to fall down, so I had to hold them up most of the time, all the way on the train and while walking home. Note to self: Wear Belts.

[[Katana.]]

Today was pretty much filled with unexpected events.

First, I was supposed to meet Jia Qing at Bugis because he was the craftsman making my katana that we had been planning for weeks now, and I being the owner was responsible for the material costs. Because it was to be made of wood, i expected it to cost about 30 bucks. But it came to be almost 60 bucks! I had no choice but to pay for it.

After that we were supposed to go back to Bugis cos JQ wanted to go to some DC store. But we got sidetracked and went to the arcade where we left 30 sec later.

Then Gabriel called me out of the blue and asked if i wanted to watch Fast and Furious 4. So I rushed back to Dhoby Ghaut and watched the show with Perry, Darren, Dara,Wilson, Gabriel. Beaver arrived late so he was all sweaty when he entered the cinema.

The show was alright, I'd give it a 3 or 3.5 out of 5. Cos the graphics were quite good and kudos to the stunt drivers.

When i left the cinema, i suddenly realised that my hand was bleeding, totally random, and I figured that it was because of the andrenaline, how effed up that theory may seem is up to you.

After that we all just went home as the double D's had long gone on their date. So yea, that was it.

[[Time to save this blog]]

Ok i had totally forgotten about this blog already, so possibly the first order of business would be to save it from the deep clutches of hell.

As you know, i appear to be one not usually associated with blogs, but for the sake of a new page to screen suck, i will revive it and tell you guys all about my life and its adventures.

Before i start, i'd like to say that you can't take everything i say here seriously, as i found out recently that there are a ton of people who actually feel offended by my friends and my sense of humor.

So, i guess there's nothing else left to say. Just have fun and yea, whatever.
