[[Christmas Presents]]

Alright, it's the eve of New Year's eve so I'll do a post about the stuff I got for Christmas. Yup, no logic to it but I"ll do it anyway. So here it goes..

Sharlene got me a box. It was wrapped with 4 layers of wrapping paper so I kept unwrapping and unwrapping whilst walking with her... Really nice design (although it was the wrong brand for some reason)

But inside the box was a really cool wallet from Tropicana Life. Costs about RM 35 to 40. Which is somewhere between $15 and $17.
Really nice stitching on the inside. Has a ton of slots and a coin pouch. Thanks Dear!! <3
This pair of aviators was from my aunt. I chose it and she just reimbursed me for the cost. Sorta the better way to buy presents me thinks. HAHA. Cost $15.30.
Some watch I bought for myself. Cost was $17.50.
A Fedora from my other aunt. Of which I chose too... Cost $15.30

You might be wondering why the sudden torrent of pics on the blog. Well its because my mum bought a new camera. A Canon Digital Ixus 120IS. 12.1 megapixels. mmmm 12.1... and it's really fun to use cos its so light therefore I can take really clear photos on the go. Plus its a lot easier to download pics to my com instead of the Iphone. So very soon there might be more photos up here. woohoo!

Alright, I'm gonna go do some other stuff now so till the next post, Au Revoir!

[[Oh my God! My Pond!]]

So I'm back from Taiwan, and its been about 4 days already since I've been in Sg. I'm not going to post any pics here because I just don't have the patience to upload all 500 plus photos (after sorting) to Blogger. So if you do want to see them, just go to this link. The albums are all there for you to see. :)

Ok about this post, my parents recently bought a new pond for the front garden. And the workers came to install it today. But I had no idea that they started work so early in the morning, so when I came downstairs I was greeted with this...

The fish were in another tank (for obvious reasons)

The concrete once had wooden panelling on top. And the previous pond was where the mound of dirt is...
And yes, that is the wooden panelling across the street. wow.

Yeah they're gonna finish it by the end of this week and maybe I'll post pics soon.... It looks really nice from the showroom piece.

So I'll sign off here and till the next post, ciao!

[[Merry Christmas!]]

Ok I know I'm late for this post but I just got back from a holiday today. So here are my sincerest apologies and Christmas wishes.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart, may this year see many festive gifts and joyful moments spent with loved ones!

And to you Sharlene – may this Christmas be an exceptionally joyful one, for it is so for me. Having known you for quite a while now, my life has really been nothing short of interesting, you really make it worth it. Being away for so long really does make the heart grow fonder, and not being able to see you for 2 weeks really took a toll on me… I can't even bring myself to explain what kind of feelings run through me when you're not here, it's just a lot of wanting and yearning that it hurts to no end, that only the sight of you in person again can relieve. So while we're apart, I wish you a very merry Christmas, may this year's be full of festive cheer and here's to many, many more in the future!

[[Won’t be contactable over the next few days.]]

Right. I'm departing for Taiwan tomorrow morning, flights at 8.30am. So if you do the math that equals to me waking up at 5am. Yup. Just gotta let you all know about it so there's no need to call me or text me till the evening of Christmas day. Rest assured I'll try my very best to be on facebook if I can. But with the allure of the nightlife there, I can't any make promises that I'll be online every night. So here's an apology in advance to anyone who thought I would be… Sorry.

And thou art enough.

[[Poker night and Badminton.]]

Right so I'm pretty late on these 2 posts and I apologise. Been pretty lazy but I've finally found some time to type it out.

Poker Night

So I arranged a small get together of the guys after the night at billy bombers for abit of poker. Food, drinks and fun I guess. It was supposed to be a late night thing with money involved and the chance of people getting drunk. Although the last part didn't really happen…

Chris and Darren arrived first, followed by ah ming, then Gabriel then perry then homo and sharlene and much later were Darren yys and Howard. My parents had ordered some food but most of it was already gone by the time Howard arrived so he was pretty much stuck with the leftovers. Sad. Anyway by then the poker game was in full swing with chris' laptop used to keep track of our bets.

We played, took a break, camwhored, drank, played some more and by then it was already 11 plus. So everyone went home, tired and sleepy, and I sent them off at the train station.

It was really fun I have to say, just to say that anything done with friends is always fun. So till the next time we play poker, at darren's for a bbq right? I hope not to lose as much as I did that night.

Badminton

Monday, 1030am. I met the guys at the usual court near yang's house. Was with Sharlene at outram first before we headed over to the court. There were only a few people around that day, namely Gabriel, Darren, perry, and yang. Chris was in phuket and beaver was in NZ. So including the happy couple it was a total of 6. The 4 of them were already in a heated doubles match so shar and I played by ourselves first. It pretty much stuck that way until they took a break and came over to play with us a doubles game. Darren and I vs. yang and shar. Haha… we played till about 1230 when the guys had to leave for home to get their stuff for the trip up to jb later that day. The plan was to meet up at kranji train station, where they would take a bus up to jb.

Their reason for going was to attend a pre Christmas party at the CoffeeTrap™. I too was invited but my parents didn't let me. I'm thinking the only way I'll get to go is a GPA of 4. Ugh…

Anyway I digress. So I followed shar to lunch after that and we headed to dover to had something up to her teacher and collect her things. That took an amazingly long hour due to a bunch of screw ups made by yours truly. Haha. We then sat off for kranji where we met the rest of the guys who had been exercising extreme patience because we were late for more than an hour. The bus, arrived, they boarded, said our farewells and I just helplessly watched them get on, wishing I could be in one of those seats. I thought my first trip to jb years ago was going to be my last, but for her I'm willing to give it another chance, to redeem itself in my mind.

So to the guys in jb, hope you have fun, make hearty and play your balls off. And to my dear, the next 3 weeks are going to be really tough, but I'm sure I'll make it a good time to reflect upon myself some more. Must we be apart to be closer to each other? All I know is that I really miss you. Baby come back….

[[Post Exam Dinner!]]

So today mark's the last day of the exams!!

Plan's were to hang out with Shar until her paper started at 3.30pm, then go home, change, and head out again to meet up for dinner.

Well as you guessed I did just that. I met Sharlene after my paper and we had lunch with Darren and Perry, before going to some deserted study area where I watched vids of forza 3 drifting and she crammed for her math exam.

Time was about 3.30 when she went in, so I left and headed home to change. Decided to dress up a little since we were going to cathay at dhoby for dinner. Ate at billy bombers with the rest of the guys before we headed back home. They were gonna have a GO at wilson's but since I had to prepare shit for tomorrow's poker day/night, I couldn't join. Not that my parents would allow me to anyway…

Today was pretty fun, but I wished that we could have more alone time together. Makes more sense doesn't it? Anyway, I'll try to keep things lively for us I promise. The next date's gonna be so awesome!

[[MSTs in 2 days.]]

So exams rear their ugly head again and I guess we've all undergone stress lately (well maybe not the business people since out topics are simple as hell), but for those of you who have been under stress, maybe this could help you… "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Good luck again to everyone!

To see you everyday just makes my life all that more worthwhile. To be in your presence and loved by you is a privilege in its own right. To know that I was special to you couldn't have brought me any more joy. To be yours is something I'll always cherish in my heart. SL <3

[[Passing time.]]

It's the middle of the night. I wander the streets alone, hands shoved into my jacket's pockets. The bars and clubs are all too a familiar memory, filled with both shame and misery. A breeze blows against my face, and somehow I can feel it blowing right through my soul… I duck my head down and trudge along, heels dragging on the ground and kicking the melted snow on the sidewalk.

The sounds soon leave me behind and I find myself at the junction of a suburban street. My watch reads midnight. I look at the sign and decide to walk down it, knowing very well that this is not the way home. It feels slightly warmer in this part of town, where families have a safe haven from the chaos and confusion that is midtown. I glance at every house I pass, and through the frosted windows are silhouettes of people celebrating and making merry. With carolers wandering the streets, singing out the songs we all know so well and love, my heart doesn't feel as heavy as before… maybe this will be a good Christmas after all…

Could I say that she's the best present that I could've ever given myself? I really hope so. But lately things haven't been going the way I expected and its giving me second thoughts…

I halt under a lone, snow covered street lamp. Looking from the sidewalk, the door number reads "22". A breath of cold winter air fills my lungs and I breathe out as much of the pain as I can. I make my way over to the door, all the while thoughts of a better future race through my mind. With one raised fist, I knock the door, but stop before my knuckles touch the wood… Finally, hesitation overcomes me and I can only turn away and give a sigh. Just as I start my stroll home, the door opens and I turn around.

Under the porch light, with the cold wind blowing against her face, she stands. Looking out at me. From where I stood I could see tears welling up in her eyes and likewise for myself. I rush forward and hug her so tightly it's as though either one of us was going to explode. And in that moment, on that snow covered step porch under those lights, my Christmas miracle came true. What I thought wouldn't happen did, and to say the least it was the best feeling in the world.

I hope that this story helped whoever reads this feel better, because it sure did for me, writing this. So for all of you whose MSTs are coming up soon, don't falter now, because we will reap the rewards once they are over, and have a great holiday.

Best of luck. SL<3
