[[Final FOM presentation]]

Today we had the last FOM presentation. Didn't do too bad, 20.5/25, but it was because I overshot on the timing. If not it might have been even higher than my previous, 21.5. Oh well, no point making a fuss over a presentation, cos there are less important projects on the horizon, like ONOW. Undoubtedly THE most useless subject on the planet. So much that I can't stress the word "useless" enough. Damn why did they even come up with it?? Shit. ugh...

Anyway, this is just an update cos nothing interesting has been happening over the last week. So yea.

[[Musical Review!]]

Something a little different this time. Musicals! Like I said, not only will I review movies, but also musicals, plays and stuff like that. So here goes, my first musical review.

Sing Dollar! : A delightfully hilarious comedy about the typical greed of us Singaporeans. Set in the heart of bustling Geylang, it showcases how a sudden windfall can turn good friends into selfish beasts. It being a musical, you can expect lots of local music, riddled with tons of gags and punchlines. Furthermore, certain parts of the script do contain many underlying jokes ( of which I won't say here cos I can get arrested for "Defamation" siol ). Anyway, in the two and a half hour show, I could say for one that what was portrayed by the actors was really as true to the Singaporean culture as it can get, although some jokes seemed too overdone. So to sum it all up, its easy to say that money can fall from anywhere, but just don't let anyone else found out that you have it!

My rating : 7.5/10

[[Fridays...]]

A real dilemma has just sat itself on my lap, and not in the good too. Big problem.

Why?

The story's pretty simple. Every Friday I end my lessons at 6pm. However, I have golf training that starts at 5. The logical thing to do would be to have the teacher-in-charge write me a leave of absence and I can leave.

But no.

The president of the golf club ( of which I have asked for the letter of absence from class ) has put me right back into the problem I started with. Not only is there no friggin' Teacher-in-charge, he says that I still need to go for my trainings and somehow not neglect my studies.

Now if I were you reading this, I'd be going "Just Ponn luh.." or some shit like that. Problem, again, is that I have projects and I have to sit in tutorial from 3 onwards. Plus my teacher said that I have to produce some form of excuse or I will not be allowed to leave early ( mind you, this applies for Sean as well ). So I can see that the only best route to take is to get 1 Leave of absence form, put down the date as every Friday, find the Director of SB and pray to god that he approves it.

Just typing it out already makes me dubious. As far as I can see, the dilemma still isn't finished with its lapdance.

yup, F. but its only the first term so i'll try to erase to this out of my head. I could say that my class did ALOT better than the other classes, even though we had a few low-scoring people, myself included. So here's a though for next term. Don't set your expectations too high, and I'm sure there are people who learned that the hard way. Good luck for term 2!

Today. There was a drift carnival at the disused bud interchange opposite my house, some sort of exhibition where the MP was the guest-of-honour. But I couldn't be bothered, not with all of the drifting action happening. So I tried to hang around and get some vids before the main event began, and upload them here. Hope you like it.

[[FOM Project. Sort of..]]

I wanted to write this yesterday, but somehow Blogger couldn't upload photos. So I'll do it today.

Went to Tampines 1 to do "research" for my FOM project. We were supposed to do surveying on our various parts to make our slides and type our reports respectively. I was expecting half an hour or so, but just after 15 minutes and a bit of photo taking ( yes, they didn't find out ), we left and did some shopping. Wandered about for an hour, Jac bought a laptop cooler, I bought a shirt. Got home and rushed to finish my POA only to find out that my teacher couldn't make it to class today. ugh..

[[Cosfest VIII]]

Gonna make this a short one 'cos there really isn't much to talk about. And sorry for the lack of pics, I forgot to bring my camera to take photos of the cosplayers. But you can go to Gnin's blog for the photos.

Anyway, synchro-trained with Yang to Hougang and took a bus to Downtown East. We met up with the SPJCC people and Clinton, in the midst of their construction for their box Gundam Armada. Basically it was just a couple of them wearing cardboard boxes with the word 'Gundam' on the front. When they were done we went in side and they really got a huge amount of attention. Just goes to show that the photographers there will take anything no matter how shitty the costumes. It was really hilarious cos they were posing and there's quite a large gathering around them all taking pics of box people, while the other better costumes were being ignored. So we just walked around, looking at people and then we left. We as in yang, andrew, beaver and I. Jq was going to Eric's house to stayover.

That's pretty much it for my Cosfest VIII, most probably next year I'll go with JQ and Ming en as some visual kei rock band. But that's next year, so I'll leave it till then.

[[Just feel Like posting..]]

Before I start talking about the things that have happened over the weekend, I'd like to say Thank You! to all who wished me happy birthday. Yes, 17 isn't really a milestone, but in one more year, yes, ONE more year, I'd be able to buy booze and get my driver's license!!

Anyway, there's a really busy week ahead, with project deadlines and homework beginning to pour in.

Had a very humble birthday 'cos it was the last day of my exams. Just went home and had a cake at night. It was from Awfully Chocolate, and really, it was awfully chocolatey, like really rich and creamy chocolate inside the cake. I shan't talk about it anymore, if not there'll be too many inuendos for people to handle.

I wanted to get a new wallet on Sunday, but the opening of ION orchard and Orchard Central created a congestion the size of monumental proportions. Yup, its so predictable that Singaporeans always swarm to places that are new. It's not like they have to, but because they have nothing else to do, even if the entire mall consisted of branded junk. Giant signs of Prada, Gucci, Dolce&Gabbana all lined the facade, yet in this recession, there are still hoards of people outside prada queing to buy stuff. Recession my ass. Anyway for obvious reasons I didn't get it, but there's still time left till the 26th of july, before the GSS is over, so I should be able to get one by then.

Yea that's all I wanted to get off my chest.

[[It's Finally Over!!]]

MST is finally over, and after 4 days of both disappointment and joy, I guess its safe to say that I'll pull through this exam.

Anyway, to all of you who've finished your term test, MST or whatever your school calls it, have fun over the weekend, 'cos the routine starts all over again on Tuesday. (Monday's youth day) And we all have to hunker down and study again.

And a big THANKS! to all who wished me Happy Birthday. 1 more year to driver's license bitch!!!
